The tunes in this set were picked from 19th Century collections, beginning with an old strathspey: Haud the lass till I come at her. This song is found in Uilleam Ross’s 1885 collection of pipe music under the title Miss Victoria Ross. Lochgilphead Fair comes from Donald MacPhee’s 1876 collection, and we learned the final reel from the playing of Allan MacDonald and Seonaidh MacIntyre.
