This Yolngu Manikay, or ceremonial song, originates from the story of the Sugar Bag Man. He fills his bag with honey from the Guku (bee hive) and sets off walking towards Barrkirra, naming the places and landscape as he passes by.
Calum and James experienced the strikingly white sands of Jervis Bay whilst road tripping at the end of our 2014 Australian tour. A stunning and inspiring spot, the pipes were duly taken out for a tune! The Aboriginal name for the area is Booderee which translates from the regional language of Dhurga as ‘Bay of Plenty’.
